What do I need to do in order to start playing backgammon at GammonGame?

What are the minimal system requirements for running the GammonGame client?
The optimal requirements to run the GammonGame client are: Pentium 1.6GHz, 50 MB of hard disk space, 512 MB of RAM,
running the Windows XP operating system. For the most enjoyable gaming experience set your screen resolution to 1024X768 or
higher and set the screen colors to High Color (16 bit) or more. Our software does not support Windows versions older than
XP or 2000.
Can the GammonGame client run on a Mac or Linux?
On Linux or Mac you may use only our flash non-download version.
I do not see the GammonGame icon on my desktop. How can I find it?
You can find our software on the list of installed programs by clicking Start, choosing All Programs, then GammonGame and GammonGame again and then "Gammon" icon.
I received 'Incorrect login and/or password' message. What's wrong?

Always check that you are entered the correct login and password.
Note that both of these are case sensitive, so you may need to turn on/off your Caps Lock as required.
If you have forgotten your username or your password, click the link 
on the web site and fill forms.

I have experienced a crash or stuck of the game client when playing at GammonGame. How should I contact with the technical staff in regards to this matter?
This might happen when your computer system clashes with our software.
If you experience a technical problem of any kind, please contact our customer
support team at support@gammongame.com or at the Live chat right away and provide them with a detailed description of the problem. If you can make screenshots of the experienced problem and provide us with them it will be highly appreciated.
Is it possible for any player to hack the game and control the dice or moves?
No. All the communication is done through the GammonGame server. There is no direct contact at any time
between your computer and your opponent's computer. There is no way to manipulate the dices as they are
pre-generated by using the true random generator at www.random.org and sent to both you and your opponent, it is not generated on one of the player's machines so he or she could not manipulate the dice as you are connected to the server, not his or her computer.
Also we offer Fair Game option for you to control.
If you wish to check generation of the dices you may use Fair Game option.
What is Fair Game?

What are starpoints? How do I gain them and what can I use them for?
You receive a starpoint each time you play for money, regardless of whether you win or lose.
Starpoints are used as the entry fee for different GammonGame actions (for example - in our starpoints freeroll tournaments).
Your accumulated starpoints are displayed at the right side of the screen of the game client.
I was in the middle of the game, got disconnected and could not reconnect. Does this mean I forfeit?
When disconnecting, you have 3 minutes to reconnect if you play in the fast game and 5 minutes to reconnect in other case.
How I can deposit money into my account?
To add funds to your account, you must register an account first.
Once you have an account, you are ready to deposit money into your account and increase your balance.
You can deposit money by following these steps:
- Start the GammonGame client
- Enter your username and password in the login screen
- Click on the Cashier at the top of the window
OR
- Run you internet browser, go to the gammongame.com, login on the site and open Cashier page
After that, select your preferred deposit method. You may deposit from the plastic card (Visa or MasterCard), PayPal, Moneybookers, WebMoney or Click2Pay.
We use the ssl-encryption in order to ensure that all your monetary actions and information are completely secure. Submitting credit card information and performing money transfer actions are safe as performing them in your local bank.
How long does it take to process my deposit?
Deposits are usually added to your balance in working hours up to 30 minutes, out of working hours and on weekends - up to 4 hours.

What is GBP?
This is ISO code for Pound Sterling (GBP = Great Britain Pound). We use this currency as standard for all money operations. So when you play for money all your stakes are made in GBP.
How I can withdraw my winnings?
In order to withdraw money from your GammonGame account, you must first log into your account using your username and password.
You can withdraw money by following these steps:
- Start the GammonGame client
- Enter your username and password in the login screen
- Click on the Cashier at the top of the window
OR
- Run you internet browser, go to the gammongame.com, login on the site and open the Cashier page
- After the cashier page has opened, select Withdraw
- Select your preferred withdrawal method. Be aware, you may withdraw by PayPal, Monebookers, Webmoney or Click2Pay only if you previously deposited funds via this payment system. In any case you may use bank transfer method
- Enter the desired sum and click on the Submit button
Can I make withdrawal directly to my Visa or Mastercard account?
No. It's restricted by Visa and Mastercard rules. You may use bank transfer method instead.
I made a withdrawal request via bank transfer a week or so ago, and didn't receive anything yet. Where is my money?
We process bank transfer requests up to 3 days. But it takes additional time for the banks to issue a bank transfer after it was processed, as bank transfers are sent from abroad. So when you use bank transfer you may wait up to 20 days while money appears on your account.
Please note that time of transfer depends only from bank and we can't do anything to make it faster.
